Tim Tebow is set to speak Tebow on April 28 at First Baptist Dallas, according to the church’s website. That’s the church led by pastor Robert Jeffress, a controversial evangelical Christian who has made quite a name for himself by referring to other religions as “heretical”, and that re-electing Obama would lead to the “rise of the anti-Christ.”

This is what it took. This is what it may take.

This day, non-hetrosexuals in this country awoke to the startling realization that in this supposed land of the free, having those freedoms would be based on how the mob feels about you.

And gays, Lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders, as well as others who live outside of the so-called norms, found out last night in Maine and other states that if they could wipe them all out, the mob would.

Of course there are those who feel that. And those who still have humanity enough to fight that.

But after all of the marches and speeches and activism and over 2000 episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, a neutered country is not responsive to those who scream, "We are human, too."

The same screams that Negroes in the south (what we call blacks or African-Americans today) that were echoed by Martin Luther King in February of 1963. But it was not the impassioned-but-peaceful oratory of Dr. King that got Americans to pass the Civil Rights Act of the following year. Not an act of peace, but an act that was marked as one of the most horrendous of that or any other time.

My question is this.....will it take an act this horrendous to force America to give non-hetrosexuals the same rights as hetros. Would Birmingham have to be played out all over again.?

First those uppity Californians, not content to take their losses and lay down like proper third-class psudo-humanbeings, are starting campaigns to repeal that Proposition 8 that the phobes so lovingly and tirelessly campaigned......and lied....to get passed.



But if that was not enough, the salons in Vermont (is that state still alive?) decided them kweers should get married. The REPUBLICAN Governor sought to veto that, but those libs in the VT senate had the NERVE to override them.

The same-sex marriage wars, though largely absent from the presidential campaign, remain hot in the states, as this new video from the group www.wv4marriage.com shows:





The narrator warns that same-sex marriage in West Virginia is "a closer reality than you may think" and that gay activists are "working tirelessly to redefine marriage away from God's design to favor the desires of adults over the needs of children."

The ad, which targets Christian voters, calls for a constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage, something that's already in place in a majority of states. "A weekend trip to SF for a WV same-sex couple, plus a pro-bono ACLU attorney, could easily become a nightmare for marriage in West Virginia," says the narrator.

The liberal local site West Virginia Blue is particularly struck by the implication that "the gay agenda is apparently out to get us all in the form of a sniper scope targeting happy families who sit on their steps and entertain their children by blowing bubbles (seriously - it's at the one minute mark)."

WIldmon Watch: Power Outage

Seems that Donald Wildmon, aka NoNeck, is really worried that the homophobic Prop 8 in California that would steal marriage rights away from same-sex couples might not pass.

Probably because he has good reason to.

For starters, there is the latest polling, showing that Proposition 8 is trailing by a small margin: 51% Yes, 43% no (the link to the poll can be found in this article).

Then there is the wording of the measure:

The formal wording, approved by Attorney General Jerry Brown, says that 8 "eliminates the right of same-sex couples to marry," which it basically does.

And then, there is that $250,000 from Pacific Gas and Electric:

Giving a financial and public relations boost to gay marriage proponents,
PG&E announced today that it is giving $250,000 to the No on Proposition 8

The utility also said it will spearhead the formation of a business
advisory council that will seek to get other businesses around California to to
defeat the ballot initiative that would amend the state constitution to define
marriage as only between a man and a woman.



"We are thrilled to partner with PG&E," Geoff Kors, executive director
of Equality California, said in a statement.



The donation from the utility, and the formation of the business council,
represents a shift from the last time that the question of gay marriage was on
the ballot, in 2000. Back then, many businesses stayed on the
sidelines.



Analysts said businesses may be more willing to get involved this time
because they have more gay and lesbian employees who are out and in positions of
power and because they believe the amendment could hurt business if passed, by
giving the impression that California is not friendly to gay and
lesbians.



The other side has received donations from business as well. Doug
Manchester, a major hotel owner in San Diego, has given tens of thousands of
dollars, for example. Those donations prompted gay and lesbian activists to call
for a boycott of the Hyatt hotels he owns in San Diego.Republican strategist
Allan Hoffenblum noted that PG&E probably doesn't have to worry about that.
They are, after all, a utility with a monopoly in many areas.



"I can't in outrage call PG&E and say, 'Cut off my gas," he
said.

First off, I don't think I'll be visiting Papa Doug's Manchester Grand Hyatt or SD Marriott Hotel and Marina anytime soon.

Second, this is just a drip in a rather large bucket that sees the opponents of P8 gather over $8 million to stop this insanity. That includes $3000 that was quietly donated by Mary Chaney. THAT Mary Cheney.

So after firing off $500k to the CA 'phobes pushing P8, I got this little missive from Bigot Central:

Families in northern and central California may wonder why their gas and electric rates are going up. Well, here is one reason for the increase: Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has just donated $250,000 to help defeat Prop 8, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman.

That's funny, I thought it was the high cost of oil....

It is wrong for public utility PG&E to take a political position against Proposition 8.

One wonders if he would have said the same thing if PG&E came our FOR P8....

PG&E announced that it will donate $250,000 to the "No on 8" campaign, and join with campaign reps and officials from the sponsoring homosexual group Equality California to create a business advisory council which will encourage state businesses to help defeat the ballot measure.

Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, says no public utility should be allowed to take such a position. "They provide power -- gas and electricity. They should not be taking positions against ballot measures," he emphasizes. "That's like a quasi-government agency taking positions against ballot measures, which is illegal."

Except it is NOT illegal, Randy.....you dufus. PG&E is a private company traded on the NYSE. It is NOT onwed by a city goverment. That means it is free to do with that money what they will.

Oh: one last thing. As for that threat that gays getting married would mean the end of marriage in general, do you know that Massachusetts, the other state that has legalized same-sex marriage, has the LOWEST d-i-v-o-r-c-e rate in the nation.

Phobes Phoming over Gay Marriage.

It did not take long for the 'phobes to go bonkers over the California Supreme Court having a momentary spasm of common sense in dumping the ban on same-sex marriage.

They know that as California goes, so goes the nation. And the prude patrol has gone atomic over this already.

Take Blogger Glenn Sacks and how HE found out about the ruling:

Sometimes you find out a marriage is over when you come home and your house is empty except for a note from your soon-to-be former wife. Sometimes it happens after a fight. Sometimes it happens when you find out about an affair.

I found out my marriage will soon be over in a different way--the Campaign for Children and Families and the Alliance for Marriage Foundation told me.

According to the Campaign for Children and Families, today's California Supreme Court pro-gay marriage ruling "has destroyed the civil institution of marriage." The Alliance for Marriage Foundation says the decision has "struck down marriage." All because the ruling would allow the 2% of the population who are gay to marry. Ignorant me, I thought that marriage was under greater threat from the fact that hundreds of thousands of innocent fathers have been booted out of their homes with little judicial oversight via restraining orders based on false domestic violence allegations. Or that courts allow children of divorce to be dragged half way across the country so mothers can exclude their fathers from their lives. Or that the abusive child support system often traps low income men in a hopeless spiral of debt. Or that family courts are allowing military parents to be permanently removed from their children's lives while they're overseas. I was wrong--it's gays being allowed to marry that is the real threat.

Once again, we are making the wrong argument, and therefore will lose the war (even though we win all the battles).
The WRONG here is the seizure of power from the People to legislate as they see fit.
The issue of two men or two women pretending to be "married" is not what's at issue here. THAT issue was won with the voters of California, and re-arguing it here, under these circumstances, has NO CHANCE of changing the outcome.
What needs to be put in front of the People now is NOT how we feel, or think they should feel, about homosexual "marriages" or other homosexual behavior.
The People need to understand that this ruling is an illegitimate seizure of THEIR OWN POWER TO GOVERN THEMSELVES.
This has the advantage, once that battle is won, of putting an end to these rulings once and for all. If, in ten years and after ten billion dollars, you are able to amend the California Constitution, they'll just be back in court with gay scoutmasters, or polygamy, or heaven knows what.
Defeat the problem at it's source - end legislation from the bench. If you amend the Constitution to do THAT, there's a victory worth having.

Sames sex couples married in California will have same family status in all 50 states who do not have gay marriage. Much like your drive’s liscense be recognized in other states, so will your marriage license.

All radical muslims are hereby invited to bring their families to beautiful, sunny Keliforrnia. With the recent court ruling on homosexual “marriage,” the already far lower than required population replacement rate of 2.1 kids per white, native born family will now head even lower. (In case you hadn’t noticed, homosexual couples produce very few offsping.)
If you can get to Mexico, don a sombrero, a serape and simply stroll across the unprotected “Bush” border at San Diego. Immediately apply for welfare and get down to the serious business of full time breeding.
Then in 20 years — or less the way things are going out there — you can duke it out with the illegal Mexicans for dominance of the place, thus establishing a perfect springboard for whatever terrorist mischief you care to perpetrate on the rest of the land mass that used to be known as AMERICA.
But by then, you’ll probably not even have to bother because, as we all know, as goes Keliforrnia, so goes the nation.
